A lovely place to stay if you're visiting the Tenby area of South Wales/Pembrokeshire. Very clean and comfortable rooms and restaurant, we had a great sleep in this quiet and comfy location. Stayed in January and everything was warm and comfy. The breakfasts are freshly cooked & delicious, with plenty of choice. Most of all, as said by many others, all the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. You were made to feel very at home. Caroline our receptionist was very friendly and knew a lot about the area
Recently stayed the night at The Dunes! What a lovely place to stay. On arrival made to feel very welcome. The room was bright, beautifully decorated with great facilities. The bar is really comfortable and a lovely place to be. Welsh breakfast was excellent! Great location, with a short walk to the town. Overall, a great place to stay. Highly recommend it!
Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a night after exploring Carmarthenshire on buses. Our hotel room was incredibly fancy, with a balcony which we weren’t expecting whatsoever! Unfortunately the weather was grim so we couldn’t sit outside on it, but on a lovely day it looks over the golf course and you can also see trains going past. Our booking also included breakfast, and wow the food is so fancy! I highly recommend the blueberry pancakes, me and my boyfriend are thinking of returning just for them alone!! The blonde lady on reception who checked us both in and out was very friendly and chatted to us about our day! The staff at breakfast went above and beyond to meet everyone’s needs. Amazing value for money, very clean, a perfect night stay! Also, the hotel is in a very convenient location if you come by train!
Another outstanding stay at The Dunes. Our 3rd visit, and again 1st class. Sue on reception is fab ! Goes over and above to accommodate, from the chefs, waiters, bar staff and housekeepers, can't fault it. Thank you for a great weekend
We just had a wonderful two night stay at The Dunes in January 2026, we stayed in a deluxe room with a balcony offering a beautiful view overlooking the golf course. The room was very comfortable and beautifully decorated to a high standard. The room was spotlessly clean, four in a bed competitors wouldn't find a fault. For coffee drinkers there was a Lor coffee maker with plenty of pods as well as tea and bottled water. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful and the bar/breakfast staff were very helpful and accommodating with smiles and warm words all round. Caroline on reception was wonderful, she was very welcoming and so helpful with the tiny issues we encountered. We would recommend this hotel for those enjoying coastal walks or just for a lovely weekend away in Tenby. We will definitely return. The only negative was the attitude of the assistant manager Ethan whose email response to me was very condescending unfortunately, for customer care he should look to Caroline or the bar staff for advice and direction when communicating with customers.
Very enjoyable three nights stay despite the awful weather. I can only echo the praise in previous reviews. Spotlessly clean room with balcony view directly over No 1 Tee(room 5). We had dinner on two evenings and both these and the very substantial breakfasts were excellent. Everyone we dealt with, reception, restaurant staff particularly the manager and room service, were all very friendly and helpful. Thank you all.
Staff were fantastic front of house and in the restaurant. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant, was very impressed with service and quality. The room was very comfortable and well appointed. Quiet location. Fantastic position for a wander into Tenby along the footpath. Would highly recommend.
Stayed here on a recent visit to Tenby. What a fantastic hotel this is. The room was great and an exceptionally comfy bed. A great nights sleep. Lovely and quiet. Had a fantastic meal in the restaurant. I highly recommend the steak. Considering the restaurant is in the Michelin Guide, the prices were very reasonable. The full Welsh breakfast I had was delicious. High quality produce and piping hot. Really sets you up for the day. What stood out for me, above everything else, was the exceptional service and warm welcome I had from the staff. In particular Sue and Ethan were great! Very accommodating and friendly throughout my stay, a real credit to the hotel.
